Tour Description
This is the tour where you are not a passenger. After a short briefing you take the wheel of a two-seat speedboat and follow your guide out of the marina into the Nichupte Lagoon, weaving through narrow mangrove channels that open into the Caribbean.
The run through the lagoon is the fun part — throttle in hand, mangroves on both sides, the Cancun skyline behind you. Boats travel in convoy behind a lead guide, so you always know where you are going and nobody gets left behind.
The boats anchor at Punta Nizuc, the northern tip of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, where you swap the wheel for a mask and fins. You snorkel over living coral, schools of tropical fish, and the submerged sculptures of the MUSA underwater museum before cruising back through the lagoon. Two hours, no filler.

Check-in
Arrive at the marina in the Cancun Hotel Zone 30 minutes before departure, sign the waiver, pay the dock fee and pick up your snorkel gear

Safety briefing and boat handling instructions, then board your speedboat and start the engine

Cruise the mangrove channels of the Nichupte Lagoon in convoy behind your guide

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really drive the boat myself?
Yes. No boating licence or previous experience is required. You get a full briefing on the controls before leaving the dock, and the boats travel in convoy behind a lead guide the whole way. The minimum age to drive is 16 — younger guests ride along as passengers.
What are the age requirements?
Minimum age to board is 6 years. Minimum age to drive the boat is 16. Minimum age for the snorkel stop is 10 years. Guests between 6 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Is hotel transportation included?
No. You make your own way to the marina in the Cancun Hotel Zone — it is a short taxi or bus ride from most hotels. Once your booking is confirmed we send you the exact marina location and your check-in time by WhatsApp.
